Roles and People

This page was last updated by Jacob Smith on April 28th, 2026. Depending on when you are viewing this page, information may be (painfully) out of date.

Release Management

Release Managers build and publish the official releases of a given software package. Many of these packages are hosted on GitHub. Some are still hosted on Fermilab Redmine.

The current ICARUSCode Release Manager is Jacob Smith (jacob dot a dot smith at stonybrook dot edu).

Past ICARUSCode Release Managers include:

  • Sergey Martynenko (smartynen at bnl dot gov)
  • Matt Rosenberg (matthew dot rosenberg at tufts dot edu)
  • Tracy Usher (usher at slac dot stanford dot edu)

Production Management

Production Managers coordinate the production of samples. The production documentation was kept in a dedicated ICARUS Production Redmine Project (and the associated wiki) as of September 2018. Activity has ceased on this Redmine page, and it’s unclear to which Redmine/GitHub/etc page any future development migrated.

At some time in the past, Maya Wospakrik (wospakrk at fnal dot gov) and François Drielsma (drielsma at slac dot standford dot edu) were Production Managers. Given this page is not actively maintained, it is unclear if they still serve as Production Managers.

Fermilab’s Scientific Computing Division (SCD) ICARUS Liaison

The Fermilab SCD ICARUS Liaison is the preferred point of contact that Fermilab SCD uses to communicate with the ICARUS experiment. It also works the other way around, with the ICARUS Liaison conveying ICARUS requests to the SCD. There is one liaison per experiment, and they are usually a member of SCD and the applicable collaboration.

The current Fermilab SCD ICARUS Liaison is Vito Di Benedetto (vito at fnal dot gov).

You can also access a list of liaisons for all Fermilab experiments (requires Fermilab SSO credentials).
