SBND servers

SBND servers

This is a quick summary of the servers available to SBND and their purpose.

Servers from Fermilab

Often servers are offered by Fermilab in the form of virtual machines, which has little consequence to the normal user except some confusion of names.

General purpose: interactive nodes open to all SBND users

Access to these servers is via SSH with FNAL.GOV Kerberos credentials:

[sbndgpvm01.fnal.gov]{style=”color: green;”}

really general, usually intended for development and job submission

[sbndgpvm02.fnal.gov]{style=”color: green;”}

[sbndgpvm03.fnal.gov]{style=”color: green;”}

[sbndgpvm04.fnal.gov]{style=”color: green;”}

[ sbndbuild01.fnal.gov]{style=”color: navy;”}

for building code only; not intended for processing anything beyond small test jobs

[ sbndbuild02.fnal.gov]{style=”color: navy;”}

Some more information about them is written in the Computing Resources wiki page.

For maintenance, submit a request to the Interactive Server Facility group via Service Desk.
